Vaccine Safety

On of the most controversial topics today is the issue of childhood immunizations. Talk about a “hot button” issue. Like most parents, we followed the AAPA recommended vaccine schedule to a “T”. After all, we wanted to do what was best for our children and keep them safe. Forced to dig in and really research this issue we were shocked to learn that a one sized fits all vaccine policy is not safe for all children all the time. Our message is not to tell you what to do or how to do it. Our message is that all parents should take this issue very seriously and inform themselves with information from numerous sources so that they can make educated decisions that are in the best interest of their child. It is time consuming, confusing, and difficult but what is more important than the health and well being of your child? Unfortunately, informing yourself does not mean only asking the advice of your local pediatrician. This is counterintuitive to most parents. After all, they have a medical degree and we do not. Nothing at all against the pediatricians and well meaning physicians, but generally, they are simply regurgitating the recommendations from the AAPA and most have not taken it upon themselves to look at both sides of this issues. Most deny that vaccines could possibly play a role in some children. Some physicians will even get down right hostile towards you if you question vaccine policy and tell you that you are an irresponsible parent if you do not follow the recommended schedule without question. Some will even refuse treatment if you choose an alternative schedule.

After considerable research, it is my belief that the current vaccine schedule can be dangerous to some children. You don’t have to have a medical degree to figure out that something is going on…visit any elementary school and you’ll see a whole host of kids who have something affecting them from mild to severe there is an epidemic in our midst that has yet to be identified. The incidence of ADD/ADHD, autism, allergies, skin disorders, behavior disorders, chronic respiratory and ear infections etc…has skyrocketed. Is it a coincidence that these autoimmune disorders happened about the time that our vaccine schedule was significantly increased? Parents, you are obligated to inform yourself on this issue and then make an educated decision based on the facts. You cannot rely solely on the recommendation of the AAPA which is influenced strongly by the pharmaceutical lobbyist.

Consider this:

	The generation of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s had *eight* required vaccinations. Currently, children today have over *forty-five* doses by the time they reach kindergarten and many are given concurrently.
	In the early 1990’s when the vaccine schedule was significantly increased several vaccines contained thimerosal (mercury) and no one from the IOM or FDA added the cumulative effect. Some children were exposed to 100’s of times the amount of mercury that the FDA deemed safe for adults through their required vaccines.

	Did you know that the incidence of diagnosed full blown autism in California rose from slightly over 2,000 cases 20 years ago to over 30,000 cases today?
	Most pediatricians will advise you to keep your newborn baby away from public places to decrease the chance of contracting illness. Sounds reasonable? Is it reasonable to inject a newborn with a Hepatitis B vaccine within their first 24 hours of life when this disease is transmitted through sexual contact or bodily fluid exchange? Is it reasonable to inject a newborn whose immune system is not optimal with multiple does of live or manufactured viruses?
	Did you know that the vaccine industry is a Billion dollar industry? Imagine if you had a product that was mandated by the government for every American child. Now, imagine if you had 45 of them.
	Is chicken pox considered deadly to most children? Inconvenient maybe, but deadly? Read the research.
	All flu vaccines contain mercury which has been linked to a whole host of maladies.
	Did you know that when the Homeland Security bill was passed by the US congress after 9/11 that someone attached a rider that exempted the pharmaceutical companies from liability for vaccine injured children? (Evidence of Harm by David Kirby).
